Following just one weeks notice nearly 100 independent midwives and their supporters met in Trafalgar Square to celebrate the International Day of the Midwife and to draw attention to the threat against independent midwifery and women’s choice in the UK. During our campaign we have had international support from our colleagues in the Netherlands, USA, New Zealand and Germany to name just a few. A big thank you to all who came - especially to those of you who brought babies and small children!
